At the core of every discipline—mathematics, golf, investing—lies a set of fundamental principles that, when mastered, lead to consistent, repeatable success. This pursuit of clarity, precision, and strategy has defined my career. From my early days at Oxford studying mathematics to my years as a Wall Street insider, I have always sought to understand the foundations of success.
During my tenure at major financial institutions like Chase Manhattan, Credit Suisse First Boston, and JP Morgan, I had a front-row seat to the inner workings of the financial system. What I saw troubled me: investment products designed to benefit the institutions, not the investors. Short-term gains were prioritized over long-term stability, and emotion-driven decisions took precedence over data-backed strategies.
In 1997, I was being recruited by Long-Term Capital Management (LTCM), the most successful investment firm of the time. Their meteoric rise seemed unstoppable—more than doubled their returns in record time. But when I analyzed their financials, I saw what others ignored, even noble prize winning scientists: a house of cards built on flawed risk models and unsustainable leverage. Just months later, LTCM collapsed, nearly taking the entire financial system down with it.
This was the defining moment. I realized that the financial industry wasn’t built for investors—it was built for the institutions selling them the dream. The gap between what investors needed and what Wall Street provided was massive. Someone needed to do it differently.
In 2003, I founded CB Investment Management with one mission:
To provide investors with a transparent, data-driven, and disciplined approach to wealth management—one that truly prioritizes capital preservation and compounding.
CBIM is built on the proven strategies of the world’s most successful investors, not the speculative models of traditional finance. Inspired by legends like Warren Buffett and Stanley Druckenmiller, I structured the firm around one key investing principle:
Compounding is the key to long-term wealth. The most successful investors don’t chase trends; they follow strategies that consistently preserve capital and maximize returns over time.

Objective, real-time assessments of investment performance

Advanced risk management strategies to minimize drawdowns

Mathematically sound investing principles that remove emotion from decision-making
CBIM has helped investors escape the Wall Street trap and embrace a low-risk, high-reward approach to wealth building. Every strategy I implement is backed by decades of research, historical data, and real-world success—because investing should be a science, not a gamble.
